Come See Us Sunday
We would love for you to join us on Sunday at 11:00 AM for our Connection Worship Service. This is the best opportunity for you to get a feel of who we are as a church, and to begin exploring if God is calling you to check things out further. Here are some helpful bits of information to know before your first visit:
Attire
Since our motto is “Come as you are, meet Jesus as he is” you should expect that most people will be dressed casually. Our dress code is pretty simple…. dress modestly and don’t judge how others dress at all. You will more than likely see someone dressed quite a bit different than you would be comfortable dressing.
Financial Contributions
Financial giving during the offering time is completely optional. People who consider C3 their home church are encouraged to take part in the joy of giving towards this cause that we all believe in, but our guests should always consider themselves to be guests. We do encourage everyone to fill out a CONNECTION CARD so we can communicate with you in the future, and send you our visitor’s welcome packet that usually includes a fun gift card.
Music
The music time during the Connection Worship Service is designed to be contemporary while remembering the rich traditions of the history of the church in Western Civilization. This time is intended to be interactive, not a performance, so we encourage you to sing along joyfully as you learn the songs.
Message
The multimedia presentations that Pastor Jon gives each week assume that you have had little prior contact with the Scriptures. Still, no matter how long you have been following Jesus you can expect that you will learn something new. We take seriously every stage in the life of discipleship.
If you are not yet a Jesus follower we welcome you to come and check out what this is all about by joining us in a worship service. We do not expect you to take part in the Lord’s Supper (Communion) at the end of the service, but instead encourage you to remain seated, be a thoughtful observer, and consider carefully the claims that Jesus is making.
Parking and Transportation
Limited parking is free in the lot next to the church, but watch out for potholes! For those taking public transit we are close to a Clark street bus stop and a Halsted street bus stop. We are also only three blocks from the Belmont Brown/Red/Purple line L station.
Child Care
Qualified child care from well-screened teachers is available for children 3 years old – the 5th grade. A cry-room nursery with a live audio feed is also available for moms and dads who need to take a child out of the service while still listing to the message being presented.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
